lol "skinny crazy friend". You look so funny walking away with the entire box from the shelf. :) I've got to try those. I'm on Luna bars right now. Some flavors are a bit too sugar-y because of the icing but they keep me going - full for nearly half the day! But I may try one of those on my next stop to WF.

I guarantee you these are not "better for you" that anything but a snickers bar. I'm not a big advocate of ThinkThin bars because of the soy content and the sugar alcohols but they win in a landslide compared to these cliff bars. Lina you are eating 23!!!! grams of sugar in one bar. It doesn't matter if it's natural sugar or cane sugar- the only thing sugar does for your body is makes hospitable to disease and causes your body to store fat. I'm sorry, I don't care how skinny your friend is, she is wrong about these bars. My advice- if you are going to use meal replacement bars stick with ThinkThin or even better go with Quest bars like the poster above me said. A better option is to mix a scoop of SunWarrior protein powder with some unsweetened chocolate almond milk in a shaker bottle and add ice when you're ready to drink, it's delicious and it holds hunger for me for about 6 hours for only 100 calories! I love your determination and the fact that you don't let anyone's opinion discourage you from wanting to look your best but Lina please treat you body the same way you want it to look: fucking AMAZING.

If you're not trying to build muscle (which you're not, since you're super skinny with no muscle), you don't need those bars.

Anonymous Above,

Which Sun Warrior Protein do you order or purchase. I.E. Protein Raw, Vanilla, Vegan Natural, Vegan Chocolate, etc. ? There are a few to choose from. Your help would be much appreciated and which Almond Milk brand do you prefer!

Thanks,
Ann

Hi Ann,
Sorry I didn't see your comment until just now so I hope you see this. I use the the Raw Vegan Protein in all 3 flavors depending on what I'm craving. Both the chocolate and vanilla are sweetened with stevia so you don't need any extra sweetness to make them palatable. I use the plain for fruit smoothies and to make by own protein bites with dates, almond butter, oats, and chocolate chips or dried fruit. I haven't tried the new Sunwarrior Protein Blend which I believe has hemp, pea, and cranberry protein in addition to the brown rice protein, but I've heard that it's not as good as the Raw Vegan protein. I use Almond Breeze almond milk (again in all three flavors) but make sure you buy the unsweetened variety. Even the plain almond milk has sugar in it so it has to say "unsweetened" at the top. You can experiment with combinations to find which one you like the best and be patient because it may take you a few tries to enjoy the taste of the powder. Obviously it will not taste like a milkshake but I still think it tastes great and the most important thing is that it is clean and nourishing to your body. If you want something closer to a milkshake try this: 1 cup unsweetened chocolate almond milk, 1 scoop chocolate or vanilla Sunwarrior, 1 ice cream scoop full of vanilla Arctic Zero (about 35 calories) and ice in a blender. You can always play around with other ingredients like frozen berries, cinnamon, etc... to get the taste you like best. You can go to the Arctic Zero website to read about it and see if they carry it at one of your local grocery stores.
Enjoy,
Laurie
